What You Will Experience

Ride through the amphitheatre and past the Viking god’s head, from which the name Hov likely originates. Continue to the boat docks once used by Viking longships before heading onto the white sandy beach for a peaceful seaside ride. The trail climbs over a ridge and along the sea cliffs, revealing panoramic views of Gimsøy’s outer coast. You’ll then pass traditional fish racks used for stockfish production before arriving at the charming fishing port of Hovsund.
