Our Mid Rivers Ride is designed as the perfect first horseback experience for beginners and families. By keeping the pace at walk-only, even first-time riders can feel comfortable and confident in the saddle.

As you journey through Glenorchy’s stunning Rees Valley, you’ll ride beneath the famous “Misty Mountains” from The Lord of the Rings and look out toward the Dart Valley, where the Tower of Isengard was filmed. The trail also passes through a scene from X-Men Origins: Wolverine and across a bridge featured in countless commercials.

This ride is more than just a trek it’s like stepping straight into your own movie set, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes and crystal-clear glacial waters.
